Connie graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Science in Foods and Nutrition. she worked for 22 years as a food service director for Guntersville City Schools in NE Alabama and served as an officer in AACNPD (Alabama Association of Child Nutrition Program Directors) and as a member of the state director's advisory committee.
